Oversized & Bulky Cargo

Oversized & Bulky Cargo Shipping From China

We arrange sea and air freight for oversized furniture, building materials, machinery parts and other bulky cargo from China, with warehouse consolidation and export packing available when needed.

Can Yuntuo Ship My Oversized Cargo?

In most cases, yes. Yuntuo is an international freight forwarder based in Shenzhen, China, and oversized and bulky cargo is one of our core services: large furniture and furniture parts, building materials, machinery parts, wooden crates and frames, palletized cargo and heavy cartons, shipped by sea or air to the United States, the European Union and other reviewed destinations. Every shipping channel applies its own screening criteria, so we confirm your piece against the actual channel before booking — and tell you honestly when a piece needs case-by-case review.

Which shipping options are available?

Oversized cargo moves by sea freight with truck delivery at destination, by air freight for urgent pieces, or as DDP door-to-door where the route supports it. Cargo from several suppliers can be consolidated at our Shenzhen warehouse first. The right option depends on your dimensions, weight, deadline and destination, and is confirmed with your quote.

How do I request a shipping quote?

Send your product, photos, package dimensions, gross weight, quantity, pickup city, destination country and postcode, ready date and delivery requirements through the quote form or on WhatsApp. We review your cargo against our channels and reply with the options and pricing for your shipment. There is no fixed price list — every quote is built on your actual cargo.

What We Ship

The oversized and bulky cargo types our channels are built around. If your cargo is listed under Cargo we ship, send the details and we will confirm the channel.

Cargo we ship

  • Large furniture and furniture parts — sofas, beds, cabinets, tables and office or hotel furniture, packed for export
  • Building materials — tiles, profiles, boards, panels and other bulky construction cargo
  • Machinery parts and equipment components — motors, machine parts and industrial components
  • Wooden crates and wooden frames — export crated and framed cargo built for international shipping
  • Palletized cargo — goods already palletized, or palletized at our warehouse before export
  • Heavy cartons and oversized parcels — cartons above standard parcel size and weight
  • Multi-supplier oversized orders — large cargo from several factories consolidated at our warehouse

Outside our current service scope

  • Vehicle and car transport
  • Project cargo, heavy-lift, breakbulk and flat-rack shipments

Vehicle transport, project heavy-lift, breakbulk and flat-rack shipments are business we do not operate — we do not arrange them, and we will not imply otherwise. Cargo that is simply larger or heavier than standard limits is a different case: it may still fit another channel, so send the dimensions and weight and we will review it case by case.

Shipping Options for Oversized Cargo

Four ways oversized cargo moves from China. The option is confirmed with your quote, based on your cargo, deadline and destination.

Sea freight with truck delivery
Dedicated oversized sea channels with truck delivery at destination — the usual choice for heavy or voluminous cargo such as furniture and building materials. In the United States, availability is subject to destination and route confirmation. In the European Union, these channels serve major markets with delivery by postal zone, and single-piece height can affect surcharges on some routes. For standard FCL and LCL shipping, see our sea freight service.
Air freight for urgent pieces
Dedicated oversized air channels for cargo that cannot wait for a sailing, with truck delivery at destination including liftgate and appointment delivery where the channel provides it. Air channels screen cargo against their own criteria for side length, height, width and per-piece weight, and bill on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight. Battery-powered and battery cargo requires separate cargo and route assessment, and certain oversized channels do not accept batteries. For standard air cargo, see our air freight service.
DDP door-to-door
DDP, with duties and taxes paid as part of the freight arrangement, is available on supported routes. Availability depends on the destination and the cargo and is confirmed per shipment — we do not offer DDP to every destination. Where DDP is not available for your route, we quote the option that is. See our DDP shipping service for door-to-door details.
Consolidation at our Shenzhen warehouse
Oversized cargo from several suppliers can be received at our Shenzhen warehouse, held, combined, re-measured and prepared as one shipment before it leaves China. Consolidated cargo is booked on the channel that suits the final shipment — certain oversized sea channels do not accept consolidated cargo, and we confirm the booking channel when we quote. See our warehousing and consolidation service and our guide to consolidating shipments from multiple suppliers in China.

Every option above is subject to route and cargo review. Screening criteria belong to individual channels, not to a company-wide standard — a piece that fits one channel may not fit another, and the final confirmation is made per shipment.

Warehouse & Export Packing

Oversized cargo is measured, weighed and packed for export at our Shenzhen warehouse before it leaves China.

Receiving and re-measuring
Each delivery is received and recorded at the warehouse. Cargo is measured and re-weighed, and the shipping method is booked on actual figures rather than pre-production estimates.
Wooden crates and frames
Oversized pieces can be built into wooden export crates or wooden frames where the cargo and the channel require it. Crate and frame work is quoted per shipment based on the cargo.
Palletizing
Heavy or long pieces are palletized where the channel requires it. Suitability is confirmed per shipment against the cargo dimensions, weight and destination requirements — not all cargo is suitable for palletizing.
Wood packaging and ISPM 15
Wood packaging subject to ISPM 15 requires an approved treatment that meets the destination country’s requirements — for example heat treatment or fumigation — and carries the applicable IPPC mark. Documentation requirements are confirmed by destination, wood type and shipping channel.
Shipping marks and labels
Shipping marks and carton labels are applied where required, including country-of-origin labelling such as MADE IN CHINA where the channel or the destination requires it.
Storage before shipping
Cargo can be held at the warehouse while an order is completed or a shipment is scheduled. Storage terms, including duration and any charges, are confirmed for each proposed shipment before you send cargo.

How Shipping Costs Are Calculated

There is no fixed price list for oversized cargo. Every quote is built on the actual shipment, after we review your cargo against the real channel.

  • Cargo type
  • Package dimensions
  • Gross weight — actual and volumetric
  • Packing — carton, pallet, crate or frame
  • Pickup location in China
  • Destination country and postcode
  • Delivery requirements at destination
  • Shipping option — sea, air or DDP

Weight bands and channel criteria used across the industry are screening and pricing bands for specific channels. They are not carriage limits, and they are not our prices. Your quote is confirmed per shipment, and any surcharges or conditions are stated with it.

Destinations

Where oversized cargo moves today. Availability is confirmed per shipment — send your destination postcode and we will check it against the actual channel.

United States
Subject to destination and route confirmation. Oversized cargo to the US moves on dedicated sea and air channels with truck delivery; availability for your destination postcode is confirmed when we quote.
European Union
Representative EU markets our oversized sea freight channels serve include Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, with delivery by postal zone. This is a representative list, not the full range of destinations we can handle; other EU destinations are subject to route confirmation.
United Kingdom
Subject to confirmation. Oversized cargo to the UK is not covered by our current oversized channels — send your cargo details and destination and we will confirm whether a suitable option is available.
Other destinations
Tell us where you are shipping. Some routes can be reviewed case by case; we confirm availability before quoting.

Frequently Asked Questions

In most cases, yes — when the cargo fits one of our oversized sea or air channels. We ship large furniture and furniture parts, building materials, machinery parts, wooden crates and frames, palletized cargo and heavy cartons from China to the United States, the European Union and other reviewed destinations. Each channel applies its own screening criteria, so send your dimensions and gross weight and we will confirm whether your piece can be shipped — and tell you honestly when it cannot.
Cargo that is too large or too heavy for standard parcel or standard carton handling — typically single pieces such as furniture, building materials, machinery parts, wooden crates and palletized goods. There is no single company-wide size or weight limit: each channel screens cargo against its own criteria, and we check your piece against the actual channel before confirming a booking.
There is no fixed company-wide limit, and we do not publish one. Each oversized channel screens cargo against its own criteria for side length, height, width and per-piece weight. A piece outside one channel’s criteria may still fit another, so cargo that is larger or heavier than standard limits is reviewed case by case. Send your dimensions and gross weight and we will confirm what is possible for your shipment.
Yes. Large furniture and furniture parts — sofas, beds, cabinets, tables and office or hotel furniture — are a core part of our oversized cargo business, shipped by sea or air with export packing and truck delivery at destination. Furniture is one cargo type we handle, not the limit of what we ship.
DDP door-to-door, with duties and taxes paid, is available on supported routes. Availability depends on the destination and the cargo and is confirmed per shipment — we do not offer DDP to every destination. Where DDP is not available for your route, we quote the option that is.
Yes. Large cargo from several suppliers can be received at our Shenzhen warehouse, held, combined and prepared as one shipment. Our warehousing and consolidation service covers the China-side steps. Certain oversized sea channels do not accept consolidated cargo, so we confirm the booking channel when we quote.
Transit time depends on the sailing or flight schedule, the channel and the destination, and is confirmed with each quote rather than published as a fixed number. We give you the expected schedule for your shipment when we quote.
Storage terms, including duration and any charges, are confirmed for each proposed shipment before you send cargo. We do not publish a free-storage period, because what is possible depends on the shipment and the schedule.
It depends on the cargo and the channel. Heavy or long pieces are typically palletized or built into wooden crates or frames. Wood packaging subject to ISPM 15 requires an approved treatment that meets the destination country’s requirements — for example heat treatment or fumigation — and carries the applicable IPPC mark. Documentation requirements are confirmed by destination, wood type and shipping channel. We confirm the packing requirements for your shipment and can arrange crates, frames and palletizing at our Shenzhen warehouse.
Battery-powered and battery cargo requires separate cargo and route assessment. Certain oversized channels do not accept batteries. Send your cargo details and we will confirm what is possible for your shipment.
No. Vehicle transport, project heavy-lift, breakbulk and flat-rack shipments sit outside our current service scope, and we do not arrange them. If your cargo is simply larger or heavier than standard limits, that is a different case — send the dimensions and weight and we will review it case by case against our channels.
