When to Choose Sea Freight

Sea freight is the preferred choice for certain types of shipments.

Larger Shipments

When your cargo volume exceeds 2-3 CBM, sea freight becomes more cost-effective than air.

Cost-Sensitive Cargo

Sea freight offers significantly lower per-unit shipping costs, ideal for bulk commodities.

Non-Urgent Shipments

When delivery timeline allows 2-6 weeks. Ideal for planned inventory and scheduled deliveries.

Palletized / Commercial Cargo

Standard palletized goods, machinery parts, and commercial shipments are well-suited.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does sea freight from China take?
Estimated port-to-port transit times may range from approximately 18-25 days to USA West Coast, 25-35 days to USA East Coast, 25-30 days to UK, and 22-30 days to major European ports, depending on route, carrier and schedule. Door-to-door delivery adds additional time.
What's the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) means you rent the entire container for your cargo only. LCL means your cargo shares a container with other shippers. FCL is more expensive but faster. LCL is economical for smaller shipments but takes slightly longer.
Do you handle customs clearance?
We offer customs clearance services at destination for eligible shipments. For DDP shipments, we can arrange clearance and applicable duties/taxes depending on destination, cargo type and service requirements.
What documents do I need for sea freight?
Basic documents include: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin. Additional documents may be required depending on cargo type and destination. Our team will guide you.
